About Me

I’m Sam, a Portland-based software engineer who builds polished, product-focused web experiences with React, Next.js, TypeScript, and modern cloud tooling. I like solving hard product problems, shipping clean interfaces, and turning complex workflows into tools that feel simple to use.

Most recently, I’ve led full-stack work on a production web app with AI-powered search, authenticated APIs, caching, streaming chat, and data-heavy workflows. Before that, I spent several years at Oracle building React and Java/Spring systems, mentoring teammates, and owning features end to end. I’m especially interested in Software Engineer 2/3 roles in Portland where I can contribute strong execution, thoughtful product judgment, and reliable delivery.
